Clyburn: Calls Bill Clinton’s Behavior “Bizarre”

On the NY Times blog The Caucus, Mark Leibovich today reported that House Majority Whip James Clyburn of South Carolina has taken the Clintons to task for the handling of their campaign, in particular calling the former president’s conduct “bizarre.” Clyburn also gave voice to the growing belief, in the black community and elsewhere, that the only possible logic behind the Clinton’s negative (and virtually unwinnable) campaign against Obama is to destroy him and thus enable a McCain victory in November, paving the way for another run by Hillary in 2012. Oh, by the way, Clyburn is still an uncommitted superdelegate.
